Eventbrite – Hometown Hunt Online Project – Queen Creek, Arizona

I recently discovered Eventbrite’s Hometown Hunt Online Project where bloggers are sharing their unique, fun, and favorite local spots to visit – I couldn’t wait to participate!

2015 September Eventbrite Hometown Hunt

If you are unfamiliar with Eventbrite, it’s a global ticketing company that helps people find events that fuel their interests! You can use this site in a couple of different ways – either as an event planner or site to sell tickets to your event or as a guest, browsing for fun activities in your local area.

After careful consideration, I chose to feature two places adjacent to my hometown, both located in Queen Creek, Arizona to share in my Hometown Hunt.

The Queen Creek Olive Mill is located in Queen Creek, AZ and I LOVE it there!  My first visit to The Mill was in 2006 when I purchased items for the women who planned and hosted the baby shower for my first child.  I found a number of unique items that I piled into baskets for the hostesses – they loved them!  Ever since, I’ve been hooked.

The Mill has grown A LOT over the years and has even branched out to marketplaces in Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Tucson.  Fun events such as Grill at the Mill and the Garlic Fest are held there, there is a full marketplace complete with just about any product you can imagine from infused olive oils, vinegars, specialty goods all of the way to products made for your body with Extra Virgin Olive Oil – these are even made onsite.  Our little Cavalier even gets cleaned with their Lavender Doggie Shampoo!

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are made fresh in their eatery – beer and wine are also available.  Superstition Coffee is right inside as well! While dining there, you can even purchase a bottle of wine, pay a small corkage fee, and enjoy with your meal in the olive grove.

Find out more about the Queen Creek Olive Mill here at their website.  If you aren’t local, you can always purchase products from them to ship directly to your home! I’m currently running a giveaway that ends on 9/21/15 for a bottle of their Roasted Garlic Olive Oil – you can read that post and enter the giveaway here!

The second location is a great add to the my part of town –  Bar Viñedo opened its doors earlier this year, and with it, a unique menu, a killer wine bar, and a fun social calendar!  Within Bar Viñedo, there is a retail shop offering wine and beer for purchase and it’s where they hold Wine Club Wednesday each week.  This is always fun and it gives you the opportunity to taste a few wines that you may not have thought of trying before.  If you are a member of the wine club (admission is free!) you are given 20% off of any bottles purchased to take home with you.

Their menu is extensive and never disappoints.  We have eaten there several times; and have always had excellent service and high quality dining experience.

Guess what else they have?  Wine. On. Tap.  Trust me – what we have tasted has been DELISH.  You can even buy a bottle of the tap wine to take home with you – just bring the bottle back next time you are ready for them to fill it up!

If you visit Bar Viñedo on a Friday or Saturday evening, you are in for a treat!  With live music and a dance floor – it’s definitely a hot spot in my neck of the woods!  Their Entertainment Schedule is available on their website along with their Menu, full details about their Bar Menu, and a little bit about their Culture.
