Dueling Pianos at Bar Viñedo

While enjoying wine at one of our favorite local spots, Bar Viñedo, in late August, we learned that there were Dueling Pianos on the event calendar scheduled in September.  Shut. The. Front. Door. If you have never attended a Dueling Pianos event – it’s quite fun and something definitely to experience!

The musicians typically face each other and take requests from the guests to sing throughout the evening.  These then typically turn into songs in which everyone also sings along….at the top of their lungs…all in tune, right?   Dancing also typically follows at some point during the evening as well as audience participation.  Fun, right?

We attended the 2nd event that was held at Bar Viñedo in September, it was on a Friday night and we had a number of our friends join in on the fun.  The place was packed so we were very happy we made reservations.  We arrived about an hour before the pianos started allowing us time to get drinks started and appetizers ordered.

The featured Dueling Pianos were from Bridge Sound Entertainment and they were fantastic!  They brought in their portable pianos and with lights and sound included – they were ready to go at 8:00 p.m.  Nick Garza and Matthew Hay-Roe were our “piano-men” for the evening and they did not disappoint.

Being somewhat of a musician myself, I always find it fun to request more challenging songs (IMO) to see how well the artists can pull it off and was happy that they opened with my “go to”, Dueling Pianos song request – “Come Sail Away” by Styxx. It was awesome.

Nick and Matthew kept the crowd VERY entertained for a couple of hours and definitely had the audience involved in the show.   Bar Viñedo accommodated the crowds by setting up an additional cash bar and adding staff for the night.

Overall, we had a great time – I’ve included some of the photos taken by the musicians throughout the evening.  Yes, they play the piano and take pictures at the same time! You’ll want to make sure you follow Bridge Sound Entertainment on Facebook, so that you will see when events are added for future shows.  You can also visit their website here at to learn about the talent, the services they offer beyond Dueling Pianos, as well as requesting a quote to book them for an upcoming event you may be planning.

Thanks again to Bar Viñedo for booking them and for being such awesome hosts to our group of friends!  You can also find Bar Viñedo on Facebook to see their specials as well as their upcoming events or visit them on their website .  When you do visit, make sure you tell them The Bubbly Hostess sent you ?.

I hope you’ll grab some of your friends for the next Dueling Pianos night from Bridge Sound Entertainment at Bar Viñedo!
