During our first cruise aboard the Disney Dream, we took advantage of Pink: Wine and Champagne Bar in The District. There are lots of adults only lounges and nightclubs in The District, for the time we had to spend, we were in Pink…shocking, I know. While researching our cruise, my mom told me about it and told me it was designed to make you feel like you were in a bottle of champagne – right up my ally.
Pink is beautiful inside – I tried my best to capture the essence of it with my iPhone!
We visited Pink during our day at sea. In the afternoon, we enjoyed a 1 hour Stem to Stern Wine Tasting. With the kiddos in the Oceaneer Club, we were led by the ship’s sommelier in a blind tasting of 6 wines. As we inspected each wine with our eyes, nose, and eventually palate, we then guessed the type of wine it was. We guessed 5 of the 6 correctly – yay us! With only about 12 other guests in the tasting, it was a wonderful experience costing only an additional $12 per person (plus we tipped the sommelier).
After dinner that evening, The Hubby and I headed back to Pink for a final nightcap before we had to disembark the ship the following day. It wasn’t super crowded, but we had a great time talking to the bartender and a few other guests wrapping up their cruise as well. We each enjoyed a couple of glasses of pink bubbly of course, I mean how could we not?
