Oreo Snowmen

The hubby saw an Oreo advertisement in his Entertainment Weekly {yes} with the recipe for these cute little guys! We were hosting couples Euchre this month so I had to make them!

I had some challenges with the mouth, I ended up with an edible marker, but it seemed to bleed at times – they still looked cute and were a big hit at our Euchre night!

Ingredients
  1. 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  2. 36 Oreo cookies, finely crushed (I used a food processor)
  3. 16 oz white candy coating wafers
  4. 48 mini Oreo bite sized cookies
  5. Decorations for eyes, nose, mouth
Instructions
  1. Mix cream cheese and cookie crumbs until well blended.
  2. Shape into 48 (1-inch) balls. Place in a single layer in a shallow pan lined with wax or parchment paper.
  3. Freeze for 20 minutes.
  4. Melt the candy coating wafers in a double boiler or in the microwave.
  5. Dip each ball into the melted chocolate (using two spoons) and then carefully place onto a wax or parchment paper lined pan, allowing the chocolate to pool at the bottom.
  6. After each ball is dipped, top with a bite sized Oreo and decorate the face. If you are using icing or an edible marker, you will need to wait until the candy coating hardens.
  7. Freeze for at least 1 hour before serving.
  8. Keep frozen.
