DIY Wine Cork Christmas Trees Topped With Ribbon

Last year, somewhat out of nowhere, I decided to build a Wine Cork Christmas Tree based on an image I saw on Pinterest.  It has gotten a lot of attention on my blog as well as on Pinterest.  Most recently, Target chose it to share on their Instagram page!

This year, The Hubby decided to build a set of three trees using different sizes of the Floracraft Styrofoam Cones that we purchased at Michaels.  These served as the base and then he used a hot glue gun to attach the corks.  I added the ribbon to the top of each and they came out beautifully!

  • Do you have any idea how many corks the medium sized tree used?

    • Hi Marilyn! I don’t remember exactly, but from the image, it is probably close to 200. Thanks for checking out my site! If you do make these, please share photos! Cheers!
