My girlfriend and I decided to take another cooking class together. This one was called Celebrating FOOD & WINE: Summer in Wine Country.
The menu consisted of: Mixed Greens and Herb Salad with Figs and Walnuts, Hanger Steak with Herb Nut Salsa, Summer Quinoa Salad, and Cornmeal Almond Cake with Strawberries and Mascarpone. Everything was delicious – and very straightforward to make! This series was created exclusively for Sur La Table by the editors of FOOD & WINE.
We had a great instructor, Chef Frank Coloma, he explained the recipes well, showed us different techniques, and gave us suggestions on how to improve in areas where common mistakes are made.
I didn’t take quite as many “action” photos as I did with our Fresh Pasta and Sauces Cooking Class and bear in mind, they were taken with my iPhone! I can’t wait to try these dishes at home and share them with you.
Overall, we had another positive experience at Sur La Table. We are already looking at the classes being offered in September….
