A couple of years ago, The Bestie turned 40 and we celebrated with a weekend trip to San Francisco. One of my favorite spots during our visit was The Buena Vista. If you ever visit San Francisco, this is a MUST try! They are famous for their Irish Coffee – and for very good reason, they are delicious! Our trip was in late November/early December so it was the perfect drink for a cold day.
These are very easy to make at home – The Buena Vista even shares the recipe on their site! You’ll want to head there to read their Irish Coffee Story.
The Buena Vista serves their Irish Coffee in a signature, heat-proof glass. Any 6-8 ounce mug will work – Irish Coffee glasses are typically footed and some have a small handle. We added ours to our Crate & Barrel registry almost 19 years ago, received them from a couple who was married 3 months before us, and still have them today! The mugs and the friendship! 🙂
Today, The Bestie once again celebrates her birthday! Cheers to you my friend! Wishing you a very Happy Birthday!
